Friday Jul 27, 2018
This week we had the pleasure of talking to Laura Sturm. An acting and movement couch currently residing on Chicago. Even though she originally got an accounting degree, she fell in love with theatre and the Meisner Technique. She feels that her job is to make actor feel safe and comfortable in their own body. One thing she has them repeat daily is "I HAVE NO APOLOGIES!" Something we believe will help all of us live a better life of not apologizing for being ourselves.
If you are in the Chicago area, look her up and stop in for a class. You can find her schedule on your web site www.laurasturm.com. And if you can't go in person, she recommends a few books:

She does not let that slow her down at all! She and David Adam Moore started an NYC-based multimedia art collective called Glmmr. Its body of work includes design for opera, dance and theater, concert visuals, film, commercial design, and gallery installations.

042 - Twins - Harassment in the Workplace
Friday Jun 29, 2018
Friday Jun 29, 2018
Today we talk about the serious issue of harassment in the workplace. We cover many different kinds of harassment, ways to identify them, and ways to report harassment. Harassment is a very serious issue, and by speaking about it we hope to bring understanding around it as well as encourage people experiencing harassment to bring it to light. Harassment is not acceptable and everyone has a right to a safe working environment.
There are various tools at your disposal to understand and report harassment in the workplace. In the United States, one of the main places to go to is the EEOC - Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. This is a federal agency that has various documents about harassment that you can read to help you understand your rights under the law. Some states have individual laws and rules that expand upon the federal laws. Below we have provided a few examples, but please look for more about your state, or your country.
